/n A well-established consultancy specialising in the delivery of bespoke, high-end projects for clients. Your new role
/n You'll work closely with the design team, planning and scheduling finance work for the week ahead, scheduling customer invoices, updating the sales pipeline and keeping up-to-date with recorded hours against project budgets.
/n
As the interim Head of Finance, you will work in tandem with ongoing projects, ensuring cash flow management is efficient, updating projected and extended cash flow forecasts after checking what projects should be included in these. You will prepare a schedule of upcoming large payments (VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax, etc.) and understand how they affect cash flow. You will attend a weekly cash flow meeting to discuss all of the above and deliver a cash flow analysis on a weekly basis.
/n Monthly MI will include monthly P&L, actual, projected and extended, cash flow, look through the updated project pipeline and KPIs.
/n You'll be responsible for tax: corporation, quarterly VAT returns and PAYE, looking at the impact this has on cash flow for the business, as well as getting involved with supplier payments, bank reconciliations and reconciling supplier accounts, and you will manage one part-time bookkeeper.
/n
What you'll need to succeed
/n You will ideally be a qualified accountant and have experience in a similar SME Finance Manager role, within a project-focussed environment with strong attention to detail and cash flow management skills.
/n Experience using Xero is beneficial.
/n The successful candidate must be able to commit to a period of no less than 3 months.
