My client is a high profile Consultancy who urgently require a Cloud Platform Engineer with proven Energy / Oil Gas industry experience, along with strong Azure (and ideally AWS too) expertise and proven experience with FinOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration Management, and modern CI/CD platforms and workflows.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer with proven Energy / Oil Gas industry experience
- Expertise in Azure (hands-on Cloud Engineering)
- Proven experience with FinOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration Management, and modern CI/CD platforms and workflows
- Excellence in operational infrastructure support and maintenance (including cloud data centres) in the Energy / Oil gas sector, covering systems such as Server, Storage, Back-up Recovery, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and Security services
- Ability to help to shape the Cloud strategy by providing key tactical input to the Cloud Architect, driving FinOps / SRE practices and governing the operations of managed service providers (third parties)
- Capability to help drive the adoption of modern practices, including GitOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Ansible / Bicep / ARM), and CI/CD development (transitioning from Azure DevOps to GitHub Enterprise)
