Our client is a reputable Liverpool law firm who are currently recruiting a Civil Liberties / Actions Against the Police Lawyer to join their industry-leading team. The firm is open to a possible retrain opportunity for strong candidates with previous clinical negligence and/or litigation experience.

Your new role

This Civil Liberties / Actions Against the Police Lawyer role will see you handle your own caseload of post-inquest civil claims and Actions Against the Police. Claims will be a mix of fast and multi-track nature and may include battery, misfeasance, false imprisonment, human rights violations and data breach.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You must be a qualified solicitor / lawyer.
  • Previous experience handling your own caseload of civil liberties and/or actions against police claims is beneficial.
  • Experience of Inquests is essential.
  • Successful applicants must have excellent communication and client care skills to help build/nurture relationships with clients.
  • Applicants with clinical negligence and/or litigation experience are encouraged to apply for a possible retrain.
