Children’s Centre ReceptionistBased in Bartley Green, Birmingham £13phYour new schoolA Children’s Centre which deals with the local community and runs a number if children’s parent groups. The role would be a long-term ongoing contract and would be Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. Your new jobYou will be responsible for managing a busy reception desk and guiding service users to appropriate services available to them. The role will entail signing in visitors, dealing with telephone calls and general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying and managing the email inbox.You will have strong IT skills as you will be using multiple in-house systems.What you’ll need to succeedFor this Receptionist job, you will need to have excellent communication skills and a telephone manner with the ability to work in a pressured environment, as well as an understanding of the importance of ‘Child Protection and Safeguarding’ issues when working on a school reception. You will also have recent experience working as a school receptionist with satisfactory references. Any person working in a school must hold an enhanced DBS check.
