Hays Tax is working with a well-established and highly regarded independent chartered accountancy firm to appoint a Tax Manager, with a clear and realistic pathway to Associate Tax Director for the right individual. This is a key hire within a growing advisory function and would suit a commercially minded personal tax specialist who enjoys complex, high-value advisory work and close client interaction.
The successful candidate will play a central role in strengthening and developing the firm's personal tax advisory offering, working closely with partners and senior stakeholders. The position offers significant autonomy and exposure to varied, technically challenging projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality personal tax planning and advisory services to a diverse client base
- Advising on capital gains tax, inheritance tax and estate planning matters
- Supporting high net worth individuals with long-term tax and wealth structuring strategies
- Advising on the use of trusts and Family Investment Companies
- Providing guidance on property portfolio incorporations
- Advising clients on the tax implications of moving abroad, including residence and domicile considerations
- Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
- Contributing to the continued growth of the advisory function
What you will need to succeed:
- Strong technical knowledge across personal tax, CGT and IHT
- Experience of advisory-led work rather than purely compliance
- A commercial mindset with the ability to provide practical, client-focused solutions
- Confidence working with HNW and entrepreneurial clients
