Your new company is a respected national legal services provider seeking an experienced qualified solicitor or CILEX (4 years PQE) to join its serious injury team. The organisation boasts a strong reputation for high-quality claimant litigation work and delivers a compassionate, client-focused service that places rehabilitation and early engagement at the centre of the claims process. You will be joining a supportive, collaborative environment that encourages development, progression, and professional excellence.

Your new role involves managing and progressing a specialist caseload of pain-related, complex injury claims. Working under the Serious Injury Guide and Rehabilitation Code where appropriate, you will proactively lead cases, identify key issues early, set strategy, and progress matters efficiently with a meticulous eye for detail. The role requires strong drafting skills, excellent time management, and the ability to work accurately under pressure. You will be expected to progress cases efficiently, meet KPIs, and contribute positively to the overall performance of the team, playing an active part in developing junior colleagues by offering guidance and helping strengthen their abilities. Exceptional client care is paramount to success in this position - building rapport, identifying vulnerabilities, and ensuring clients receive the support, clarity, and empathy needed when navigating complex or sensitive matters.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively managing a specialist caseload of Intermediate Track and Multi-Track motor claims valued up to £250,000, ensuring all heads of loss are fully explored and evidenced to secure the best outcomes for clients.
  • Assisting senior team members on catastrophic injury claims valued at £1,000,000.
  • Managing workloads effectively to meet performance targets across profit costs, settlements, case progression, and client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrating a high level of sensitive client care whilst maintaining proactive communication with insurers, experts, and other stakeholders, using phone, video, or in-person meetings to meet all stakeholders' needs.
  • Liaising with medical experts, reviewing reports, and maintaining regular risk assessments throughout each case.
  • Instructing Counsel, preparing clear briefs, and attending conferences and hearings as necessary.

To be successful, you will need:

  • To be a Qualified Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer, or experienced personal injury file handler (4 years PQE) who is comfortable running OIC and MOJ claims and capable of independently managing a full and varied caseload.
  • A proven ability to run claimant personal injury matters independently, confidently navigating complex intermediate and lower-value multi-track (up to c. £250K) cases proactively.
  • Previous experience assisting with higher value catastrophic injury claims is also beneficial.
  • An excellent understanding of the Intermediate Track Fixed Fee regime and the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), relevant legislation and case law, and the ability to apply these effectively when progressing claims.
  • Unparalleled client care standards, whereby clear, commercially sound written and verbal communication are delivered with professionalism.
  • Experience liaising with medical experts, counsel, investigators, and other partners in the litigation process.
  • Confidence working with IT systems, including Visualfiles or similar case management software, plus solid MS Office skills.
  • To be a collaborative team player, with an approach to ongoing learning and professional development, whilst supporting colleagues and contributing to shared team goals.

What you will get in return:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package of up to £65,000 (DoE).
  • Excellent hybrid working arrangement with 2 days WFH per week.
  • Strong internal progression opportunities.
  • Experience handling a complex personal injury caseload.
  • Collaborative team culture.
