Our client is a large, regulated organisation with a strong reputation for delivering essential services and maintaining high standards of governance, compliance, and customer outcomes. The legal team plays a critical role in supporting the organisation's strategic and operational objectives, providing pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of matters.
As a litigation lawyer, you will report in to the General Counsel and provide legal advice and support across a diverse range of contentious matters. A significant focus of the role will be managing and supervising customer debt recovery litigation and enforcement activity while also supporting wider civil litigation work:

- Managing litigation matters from instruction through to completion, ensuring deadlines and stakeholder requirements are met.
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified solicitor with approximately 3 years' PQE, although applications from more junior candidates with relevant experience will also be considered. Our client is also able to accept applications from CILEx qualified lawyers with practice rights to conduct litigation. You will demonstrate:
- Experience gained within private practice or in-house legal team.
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation and debt recovery, including pre-action, litigation and enforcement processes.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and legal research skills.

- An understanding of regulatory considerations relevant to litigation and collections activity.
In return, you will join a collaborative in-house legal team where you will have the opportunity to handle meaningful and varied litigation work, develop your expertise, and contribute to high-profile strategic initiatives. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of legal and regulatory matters while working in a supportive environment that encourages professional development and continuous improvement.
