Finishing Supervisor required to support the delivery of internal finishing works on a high-quality residential scheme with a ground floor commercial unit on the outskirts of Cambridge. This role will suit someone with a strong fit-out or finishing background who is confident coordinating multiple internal trades, maintaining quality standards, and driving works through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all internal finishing works, ensuring activities are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors across internal trades including drylining, decorating, flooring, carpentry, ceilings, kitchen installations, and final fit-out packages.
  • Carry out regular quality inspections, snagging reviews, and compliance checks to ensure works meet drawings, specifications, and client expectations.
  • Identify and resolve on-site issues affecting finishing trades, escalating where necessary to maintain programme and quality.
  • Monitor progress against the programme, proactively managing trade interfaces and addressing delays to achieve key completion milestones.
  • Support the Project Manager with the planning and sequencing of internal works to ensure efficient delivery and smooth handovers between trades.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety across all finishing activities, conducting toolbox talks, site inspections, and ensuring compliance with site procedures.
  • Coordinate the close-out process, including snagging, defect resolution, and preparing areas for inspections, practical completion, and handover.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • SMSTS/SSSTS (preferred, but not essential)
  • CSCS (preferred, but not essential)
