Job Description Job DescriptionEvents Manager to join our team in Burgess Hill on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will work closely with the Events Team Leader and event professionals to plan, coordinate, and deliver a wide range of internal and external events aligned to business and marketing objectives, including conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, customer visits, virtual events, and hybrid events. A per hour rate, in-scope IR35 of £26.66 per hour (PAYE) OR £35.31 per hour (via a Hays Approved Umbrella Company), in-scope IR35 Manage end-to-end delivery of internal and external events. Source and contract venues. Coordinate event content, speakers, and attendee communications. Track and manage event budgets. Organise travel and accommodation arrangements. Deliver on-site event and delegate management. Conduct risk assessments and ensure health and safety compliance. Support event reporting and feedback to stakeholders. Ensure events comply with Medtech Europe guidelines. Support team engagement, onboarding, and training activities. Proven experience managing virtual, hybrid, and face-to-face events. Strong project and stakeholder management skills. Understanding of the role of events within a commercial organisation. Experience using Cvent, Salesforce, or similar event management platforms. Event Management, Marketing, or Business-related qualification.
