Following changes to further enhance the service, my client is keen to recruit an experienced HR professional to lead the way in continued improvements and support the team. Operating in an evolving environment, this organisation places strong emphasis on collaboration, continuous improvement, and inclusive practices across all aspects of our work.

The Role

Overseeing recruitment and operations, you will lead a critical HR function with responsibility for both recruitment operations and core people service delivery. You will oversee a centralised service, ensuring seamless, efficient and high-quality support across the entire employee lifecycle. Key aspects of the role include:

  • Leading a high-performing shared service team, delivering first-line support, onboarding and offboarding, contract administration.
  • Overseeing recruitment coordination, ensuring an efficient, inclusive and customer-focused experience for candidates and hiring managers.
  • Driving continuous improvement across HR operations, streamlining processes, enhancing governance, and improving service delivery.
  • Building strong partnerships across key functions to ensure joined-up, reliable operational delivery.
  • Supporting organisational change initiatives by providing operational insight and maintaining service effectiveness.
  • Using data and metrics to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive evidence-based decision-making.
  • Contributing to the development of future recruitment and talent approaches, ensuring operational readiness and consistency.

What do you need to succeed in this role:

This post will suit an experienced leader who can balance day-to-day service delivery. Significant experience leading HR operations and/or recruitment within a large, complex organisation. Strong ability to translate operational challenges into clear improvement priorities. Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across organisational boundaries. A proven commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement. Confidence in using data, systems and metrics to inform decisions and drive performance. A proactive, solution-focused approach with the ability to lead teams through change and improvement activities.
