The role involves seeking an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to join the Early Years team on a full-time, long-term basis for the entire academic year starting September 2026. This role is ideal for a confident and proactive individual who has a solid background in Early Years and is passionate about supporting young children in their formative stages of development.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering a creative and engaging EYFS curriculum
- Work with individuals and small groups to support learning and development
- Assist with planning and setting up stimulating activities across all areas of learning
- Support children's social, emotional and communication development
- Carry out observations and contribute to assessments in line with EYFS requirements
- Encourage positive behaviour and independence
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive and welcoming classroom environment
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in an Early Years setting is essential
- Relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 in Childcare or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Experience supporting children with a range of needs, including EAL (desirable in a diverse setting)

- Strong communication and teamwork skills
