The organisation works in partnership with National Highways and multiple local authorities, providing full lifecycle engineering solutions across major frameworks. Your new role as a Traffic Signals Design Engineer involves:
- Playing a key role in the design and delivery of traffic signal schemes ranging from new installations to refurbishments and upgrades.
- Supporting a growing design team working across National Highways and local authority frameworks.
- Delivering designs in line with programme, cost and quality requirements.
- Identifying and managing design risks in accordance with CDM regulations.
- Liaising with clients, contractors and suppliers to resolve technical queries.
This role can be based from multiple regional offices with hybrid work available.
Requirements include:
- Proven experience in traffic signals design, ideally from an assistant or design engineer role.
- Working knowledge of traffic signals design standards, processes and procedures.
- Strong AutoCAD and KeySignals capability.
- Ability to produce detailed signal designs, including controller configuration forms.
- Exposure to Factory and Site Acceptance Testing and commissioning.
- Knowledge of SCOOT UTC and/or MOVA design and validation (desirable).
- Understanding of CDM Regulations and design risk management.
