Your new company is a well-established and values-driven housing organisation seeking a Part-Time Lettings Officer to join their Housing Operations team. Known for delivering high-quality services to customers and communities, the organisation is committed to minimising void loss and creating sustainable tenancies through excellent service delivery.
Your new role as a Lettings Officer will involve managing the end-to-end lettings process for empty homes, ensuring properties are re-let quickly and efficiently. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the full lettings cycle from notice through to tenancy sign-up, ensuring minimal void periods.
- Advertising available properties across internal and external platforms and meeting strict deadlines.
- Shortlisting applicants and verifying eligibility in line with allocations policies and housing legislation.
- Conducting pre-tenancy assessments via phone or face-to-face interviews.
- Liaising with internal teams such as Asset Management and Income to deliver a seamless service.
- Coordinating property viewings and tenancy sign-ups promptly.
- Maintaining accurate records across housing systems and supporting regulatory reporting.
- Working with support services to ensure customers' needs are met for sustainable tenancies.
- Providing a high standard of customer service and resolving queries or issues effectively.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience within a housing, lettings, or customer-focused environment.
- An understanding of lettings processes, housing law, or allocations (desirable).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- A customer-first approach, including experience supporting individuals with varying or complex needs.

- Strong IT skills with experience maintaining accurate system records.
