Broadway Academy is seeking a Computer Science teacher who is passionate about their subject and has the ability to deliver interactive, engaging lessons that inspire students. The academy has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted for 15 years and constantly strives for excellence.
The Department: The Computer Science department is successful and popular, with the number of students opting for the subject increasing every year. Teaching within the department is considered outstanding, and we work hard under determined leadership to raise the standards of teaching, learning, and examination performance in Computer Science. We require a teacher with experience of teaching Computer Science and IT at KS3, 4, and 5. We believe in teaching students a range of skills, in addition to standard academia, and aim to meet the holistic needs of each student while considering their well-being in everyday teaching.
The Role: This role would suit an experienced teacher or ECT who can engage students using a range of classroom management and teaching and learning strategies. We are looking for a Computer Science specialist with a track record of quality teaching or someone with outstanding potential to:
- ensure that Computer Science quality of education and outcomes are excellent
- take a proactive role in the strategic development of Computer Science across the Academy and support the delivery of a broad, balanced, and rich curriculum.
