You'll be joining a highly experienced civil engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering work on one of the UK's largest and most complex rail infrastructure programmes. Your new role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key part in the commercial delivery of a major infrastructure project, working closely with project and site teams to ensure robust commercial control from start to finish. The role is primarily site-based, with some flexibility for hybrid working.
- Preparing cost reports, forecasts, and internal commercial reporting
- Supporting the identification, assessment, and agreement of variations and compensation events
- Managing subcontract procurement, commercial administration, and payments
- Providing commercial and contractual advice to project and senior management teams
- Ensuring compliance with internal commercial procedures and contract requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- A recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
- Strong experience working under NEC contracts on large civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and commercial processes independently
- Good working knowledge of Excel and commercial management systems
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with internal and external stakeholders
Desirable:
- Background in major infrastructure, rail, civils, or groundworks projects
- Degree in a related construction or engineering discipline
- CSCS card
- Professional membership (or working towards) RICS, CIOB, or equivalent
