You'll be joining a highly experienced civil engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering work on one of the UK's largest and most complex rail infrastructure programmes. Your new role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key part in the commercial delivery of a major infrastructure project, working closely with project and site teams to ensure robust commercial control from start to finish. The role is primarily site-based, with some flexibility for hybrid working.

  • Preparing cost reports, forecasts, and internal commercial reporting
  • Supporting the identification, assessment, and agreement of variations and compensation events
  • Managing subcontract procurement, commercial administration, and payments
  • Providing commercial and contractual advice to project and senior management teams
  • Ensuring compliance with internal commercial procedures and contract requirements

What you'll need to succeed

  • A recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
  • Strong experience working under NEC contracts on large civil engineering or infrastructure projects
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and commercial processes independently
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and commercial management systems
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with internal and external stakeholders

Desirable:

  • Background in major infrastructure, rail, civils, or groundworks projects
  • Degree in a related construction or engineering discipline
  • CSCS card
  • Professional membership (or working towards) RICS, CIOB, or equivalent
