Birmingham City Council are seeking experienced Occupational Therapists needed to join a highly responsive City wide Team within Birmingham.
Your new role
Birmingham City Council are looking to recruit 8 qualified Occupational Therapists. 4 x OT's to cover 10 months within the City wide team and 4 x OT's to support the EAB project teams. This is an expanding team who are the front end of the Adult Social Care service offering a recovery and rehabilitation model as the initial model of care and support for all disabled, older and vulnerable residents in the borough.
These workers will be based in our area team, completing home visits to citizens' properties, assessing for equipment, minor and major adaptations. Beneficial to have manual handling experience and experience working in physical health.
This is mainly working from home, but you will be asked to attend team meetings at the Sparkbrook Medical Centre and flexibility is required across the Birmingham area for visits.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this role, you will need
Degree in Occupational Therapy
Current HCPC Registration
2 years post-permanent qualification experience is a must.
Understanding of Adaptations
Manual handling
