A Children's Centre which deals with the local community and runs a number of children parent groups. This is a long term temporary role to start as soon as possible and would be Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.
You will be responsible for managing a busy reception desk and guiding service users to appropriate services available to them. The role will entail signing in visitors, dealing with telephone calls and general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying and managing the email inbox. You will have strong IT skills as you will be using multiple in-house systems.
Please note that the role will be based between 2 sites in Hodge Hill and Alum Rock so you must be able to travel between the two sites.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
- Ability to work in a pressured environment.
- Understanding of the importance of 'Child Protection and Safeguarding' issues when working on a school reception.
- Recent experience working as a school receptionist with satisfactory references.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
