Hays Education is recruiting passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support young people within special schools, secondary SEN hubs, and specialist provisions across Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall and Sandwell. These settings cater for pupils aged 11-19 with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language Needs, Complex Needs, Learning Difficulties, Physical Disabilities, and Challenging Behaviour.

The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging learning activities
  • Support students with SEND and additional learning needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Assist pupils in developing communication and social skills
  • Help students access the curriculum and achieve their individual targets
  • Support children and young people with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and Complex Needs
  • Encourage independence, confidence and personal development
  • Provide personal care support where required
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families and school staff

  • Right to work in the UK
