Job Description Financial Accountant | Biggleswade | £50,000-£55,000 We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established international organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant for their finance team based in Biggleswade. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly reputable business operating within a global group environment, offering exposure to statutory reporting, treasury, VAT, fixed assets and financial controls. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the financial accounting function and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across the business. Supporting treasury activities, VAT reporting and statutory reporting requirements Performing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month-end close processes Maintaining and reconciling the fixed asset register Ensuring investments are authorised and accounted for correctly Assisting with internal and external audits and providing supporting documentation Supporting financial control processes and regulatory compliance requirements Assisting with finance projects and system implementation activities CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification (although AAT and qualified by experience will also be considered) Strong understanding of journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations Experience using accounting software packages Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs Exposure to a broad financial accounting remit Ongoing training and development opportunities Supportive and collaborative finance team environment Long-term career progression prospects Hays EA is a trading division of Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited and acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
