Drama Teacher job in East Sussex - Long-term supply opportunity with potential extension through to Christmas

Hays Education are working in partnership with a popular and well-regarded secondary school in East Sussex to recruit a talented and enthusiastic Drama Teacher for a long-term supply position.

Due to the absence of a senior member of staff, the school is seeking a Drama specialist who can teach Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4, alongside some English and History lessons where required. The role is for four days per week (Tuesday to Friday) and is expected to continue until at least October half-term, with the likelihood of extending through to Christmas.

Your new role

- Teach engaging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
/n
- Deliver some English and History lessons as required
/n
- Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with curriculum expectations
/n
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
/n
- Support students to achieve their academic and personal potential
/n
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school
/n
/n
What you'll need to succeed
/n
/n
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
/n
- Experience teaching Drama at secondary level
/n
- The ability to teach English and/or History would be advantageous
/n
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
/n
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
/n
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
/n
