Job Description
We are partnering with a well-established international business to recruit a Payroll Administrator into their shared services finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join a respected organisation with a strong reputation and a collaborative culture. Working as part of a busy payroll function, you will support the accurate and timely processing of UK payrolls while also assisting with selected international payroll activities. This role offers exposure to a diverse workforce, a range of payroll systems and processes, and the opportunity to work closely with HR, Finance, and external providers.
Your new roleAs Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the end-to-end processing of monthly payrolls, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Processing statutory payroll submissions and supporting legislative reporting requirements.
- Maintaining payroll records, deductions, third-party payments and reconciliations.
- Administering pension processes and ensuring submissions are completed accurately and on time.
- Assisting with year-end payroll activities, including statutory reporting.
- Responding to payroll-related queries from employees and managers.
- Supporting internal controls, audit requirements and payroll compliance.
- Assisting with overseas payroll administration when required.
What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous payroll administration experience.
- A strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, NIC and RTI requirements.
- Experience managing payroll records, deductions and pension administration.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong Excel and payroll systems experience.
- A keen eye for system improvements.
- The ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
