Your new companyA leading investment management firm based in London that is responsible for safeguarding and growing assets on behalf of hundreds of thousands of members across multiple industries. The firm is known for its collaborative culture and commitment to financial wellbeing, managing over £30 billion in assets, and providing market-leading financial services to its clients.Your new role The client is seeking a part-qualified assistant accountant to join their finance team on a temporary basis. Key responsibilities include:
- Take ownership of month-end processes, including prepayments, accruals, depreciation calculations and journals.
- Monitor balance sheet reconciliations and undertake investigative work to provide commentary and identify issues as needed.
- Act as a point of contact for external auditors, answering queries and providing evidence.
- Assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts for FRS102 financial statements and in the preparation of management reporting packs.
