Job Description

Your new roleAs a Temporary School Administrator/Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors, parents, and staff. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the school's front desk and handling incoming calls and enquiries
  • Greeting visitors and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed
  • Providing administrative support to the leadership team and teaching staff
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating school systems
  • Assisting with attendance monitoring and pupil data entry
  • Supporting with general office duties such as filing, photocopying, and post

This is a varied and fast-paced role that requires excellent communication and organisational skills.

What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate will:

  • Previous experience in a school office or similar administrative role
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and school management systems (e.g. SIMS or Arbor)
  • A professional and friendly manner with excellent customer service skills
  • The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work

We will need to be able to obtain references to cover the last 2 years as a minimum and you will need to be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check if you don't already have a DBS on the update service.
