Your new company A well-established and innovative organisation based in Sheffield is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on an ongoing temporary basis.

Tuesdays and Thursdays ONLYXero experience required ASAP Start Ongoing temporary Your new role As an Accounts Assistant, you will provide key support to the finance function, helping to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day accounting operations.

Key responsibilities will include: Processing purchase invoices and matching them to purchase orders.

Maintaining supplier accounts and resolving invoice queries.

Assisting with payment runs and bank reconciliations.

Raising sales invoices and supporting credit control activities.

Processing employee expenses and company payments.

Maintaining accurate financial records and data entry within the finance system.

Supporting month-end activities, including account reconciliations.

Assisting the wider finance team with ad hoc finance and administrative duties.

What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar finance position.

Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

A proactive approach and willingness to support the wider team.

Availability to start at short notice or immediately is highly desirable.
