Oxfordshire's Children's Assessment Service are seeking a committed and skilled Social Worker to join their team in Oxfordshire providing early safeguarding support to children and families who may be at risk.

You will complete timely, high-quality assessments and work closely with multi-agency partners as part of the Family Safeguarding Model, providing early safeguarding support to children and families who may be at risk. This is a fast-paced team within a service rated 'Good' by Ofsted, with a clear ambition to reach 'Outstanding'.

As a highly skilled social worker, you will:

  • Complete child and family assessments and safeguarding enquiries
  • Lead or support s47 investigations, risk assessments and planning
  • Provide clear, professional written reports for meetings and court
  • Contribute to multi-agency working and duty rota
  • Maintain accurate case records and work within statutory guidance
  • Ensure children's voices are central to assessments and plans

What you will need to succeed:

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • ASYE completed (or equivalent experience)
  • Statutory children's services experience
  • Strong risk assessment, communication and report-writing skills
  • Confident working in a busy safeguarding environment
  • Commitment to reflective, child-centred and strengths-based practice
  • Ability to travel across Oxfordshire when required
