Seeking 2x Data Scientist for a 6 months+ ongoing contract - 3 days on site near Heathrow - Inside IR35. Please note that UK-based candidates only - 5 years of UK residency and, ideally, a British citizen is required.
1x Data Scientist (Supply Chain)
- A deep knowledge of supply chain models and analytics, to help build the right models with the right science behind them, including:
- Understanding of how to handle/model slow moving parts
- Multi-echelon inventory
- How to balance cost and service levels (fill rates and cycle service levels)
- Developing analytical solutions using the core packages for data science, optimisation and simulation
- Creating data pipelines (even though we will have a data engineer) and to get these into production
- Knowledge of the software engineering techniques to get the solution into production
1x Data Scientist (Predictive Maintenance)
- Full stack data scientist with both science and engineering skills to develop ML solutions and get them into production
- Senior individual contributor, able to draw upon a wide experience of problems and solutions to technically guide more junior data scientists
- Expert in applied machine learning, including the techniques currently being used in PRISM (XGBoost and SHAP)
- Experience of using machine learning to solve commercial predictive problems
- Ideally, experience with Causal ML
Both roles require stakeholder management skills (defining and prioritising requirements, contributing to product roadmap, supporting adoption).
