This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher, ideally with Year 6 experience, to take responsibility for a Year 6 class and support pupils through this important stage of their primary education.The successful candidate will have a proven track record of securing strong pupil outcomes, maintaining high expectations and preparing pupils effectively for their transition to secondary school.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and inclusive lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
Create a positive learning environment where all pupils feel valued, supported and motivated to succeed.
Demonstrate consistently good or outstanding classroom practice.
Differentiate learning effectively to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND and EAL.
Inspire pupils to achieve their full academic potential through high-quality teaching.
Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform future planning.
Maintain accurate pupil records and assessment data.
Identify and address barriers to learning to accelerate pupil progress.
Prepare pupils effectively for end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments.
Set high expectations for attainment, progress and presentation.
