Hays Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Plumber to join a facilities maintenance team at HMP Berwyn in Wrexham on a temporary to permanent basis.This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled plumber looking for long-term, stable employment within a secure and professional environment. The Role
As a Plumber, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the prison estate, ensuring all plumbing systems are maintained to a high standard and remain fully operational.
Key duties will include:
- Carrying out plumbing repairs and maintenance works
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults on water systems and sanitary ware
- Installation and replacement of plumbing fixtures and fittings
- Responding to reactive maintenance requests
- Completing planned preventative maintenance tasks
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with relevant regulations
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed
What You'll Need
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities environment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence is desirable
