Your new role
As Buyer, you'll manage the procurement of materials, services and equipment, working closely with operational teams and suppliers to deliver best value. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing supplier selection, quotations and negotiations
- Sourcing materials, services and equipment
- Developing strong supplier and stakeholder relationships
- Supporting commercial and procurement activity across projects
- Monitoring market trends and identifying savings opportunities
- Ensuring purchasing activity meets cost, quality and delivery requirements
- Maintaining accurate procurement records, reports and KPIs
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as a Buyer, Procurement Specialist or Purchasing professional
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Good commercial and financial awareness
- Experience working in a fast-paced, project-led environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- CIPS qualification or progress towards CIPS would be advantageous
