Your new company
A well-established, family-owned, multi-site social care provider is seeking interim support within its finance team during a period of maternity leave.
Operating several sites, the business has a stable leadership team and a collaborative culture, with finance playing a key role in supporting both operational and commercial decision-making.
The organisation offers a relaxed working environment, flexible working arrangements and close interaction with senior stakeholders across the business.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working alongside an experienced Financial Controller, you will provide financial management support across a portfolio of sites.
This is a varied role covering management accounting, month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting, whilst also contributing to group-level reporting requirements.
You will partner closely with site-based administration teams to ensure accurate financial information is maintained across multiple locations.
The role will also involve overseeing income streams and funding mechanisms, with any exposure to funding models, local authority funding and related processes considered advantageous.
This is an interim assignment expected to run for approximately 9-12 months, commencing towards the end of the year to facilitate a comprehensive handover.
- What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience within a Finance Manager or Management Accountant position
- Strong month-end and management accounts expertise
- Experience using Xero would be highly advantageous
- Confident producing budgets, forecasts and group reporting packs
- Ability to work collaboratively with operational stakeholders and senior management
- Knowledge of funding processes within the care sector, including healthcare and local authority funding arrangements, would be beneficial
- Candidates may be qualified, or qualified by experience
- A proactive and hands-on approach suited to an SME environment
