Your new role
As a Multi Skilled Operative, you will undertake a variety of maintenance, repair, and refurbishment tasks across occupied and void properties. Working both independently and as part of a wider team, you will be responsible for delivering work to a high standard while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.Key duties will include:
- General repairs and maintenance works
- Basic joinery, plumbing, plastering, and decorating
- Kitchen and bathroom repairs
- Reactive and planned maintenance
- Ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently
- Liaising professionally with tenants, customers, and colleagues
- Maintaining accurate records of completed works
- Working across Wakefield and surrounding areas
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience as a Multi Skilled Operative within social housing, property maintenance, or construction
- Competence across a range of trades, including joinery, plumbing, patch plastering, and decorating
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Relevant trade qualifications (desirable but not essential)
- A commitment to health and safety standards
