We are currently recruiting for a Compliance Supervisor to work within the facilities management and maintenance team at HMP Usk.
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance works across the site. A large part of the position will involve accurately recording maintenance projects, works schedules and completion information onto the 'Planet FM' system, alongside regular communication with trades and maintenance teams.
Previous experience using 'Planet FM' is not essential, as full training will be provided. However, you should be comfortable working with databases, facilities management systems and accurate data entry.
Key responsibilities
Inputting and updating maintenance projects and works schedules onto Planet FM
Maintaining accurate records of planned and reactive maintenance works
Carrying out data look-ups, conversions and data reconciliations
Checking information to ensure records are accurate and up to date
Liaising with tradespeople including electricians, plumbers, carpenters and other maintenance staff
Speaking with trades teams to confirm workloads, outstanding jobs and requirements
Monitoring works and updating progress on the facilities management system
Supporting the wider maintenance and facilities team with compliance and administrative requirements
Producing and maintaining accurate records and reports
Ensuring information is entered correctly and within required timescales
What we're looking for
You don't need to have worked within a prison previously, but you will need to be organised, confident and comfortable communicating with a busy team of trades and maintenance professionals.
Ideally, you will have:
Good IT and data-entry skills
Experience using databases, CAFM or facilities management systems
Strong attention to detail
Good Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office skills
The ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload
Confidence speaking with trades and operational teams
Experience within facilities management, maintenance, compliance or a similar environment would be advantageous
The role
This would suit someone from a facilities administration, works coordination, maintenance planning, compliance or helpdesk background who enjoys working in an operational environment and wants to develop their experience within facilities management.
The successful applicant will be working within a secure environment and will therefore be required to complete the appropriate security and vetting requirements before starting.
