The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pupils during the crucial early stages of their educational journey, helping to develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.
Your new role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative Early Years learning activities.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and development targets.
- Assist with phonics, early literacy and numeracy activities.
- Encourage positive behaviour, social interaction and independence.
- Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and developmental needs.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working with children in an EYFS, nursery or primary school setting.
- A patient, caring and enthusiastic approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications (desirable but not essential).
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
