An established organisation, my client is looking for an experienced Payroll professional to join them on an interim basis (circa 12 weeks) to support them through the process of outsourcing their payroll to an external provider.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working alongside the finance team, you will take a lead in managing this payroll project.
- The role will involve maintaining the day-to-day payroll operation, ensuring payroll continues to run smoothly and accurately whilst the business reviews and implements an outsourced payroll solution.
- Alongside managing the existing payroll processes, the successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating outsourcing options, supporting the transition to an external provider, and documenting payroll procedures.
- Once the outsourced solution is in place, you will create clear process documentation and handover materials to support internal payroll administration activities and ensure a smooth ongoing relationship with the payroll provider.
What you'll need to succeed
Strong payroll expertise, experience in a similar role and the ability to work independently are essential. Excellent communication skills will be essential.
What you'll get in return
This role is expected to be for a period of circa 12 weeks and can be offered on a part-time or full-time basis.
Hybrid working (requirement to be based in Suffolk or within a short commuting distance as this role will be in the office for circa 20-25% of the month)
