Hays Education is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Swindon. This is a great opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, graduates considering a career in teaching, or individuals with relevant experience working with young people.
The role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes during teacher absence
- Deliver pre-prepared work and ensure pupils remain on task
- Manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively
- Provide support and guidance to pupils where required
- Work across a variety of subjects and year groups
- Follow school policies and maintain high safeguarding standards
What you'll need
- Experience working with secondary-aged pupils is desirable
- Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
- Confidence supervising a full classroom
- A professional, positive and adaptable approach
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- A genuine interest in supporting young people's education
