Your new company This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join a sizeable finance team and gain exposure to a broad range of financial accounting, management accounting, reporting and business partnering activities. Working within a complex and fast-paced environment, you will support senior finance colleagues in delivering high-quality financial services and helping stakeholders make informed financial decisions.
The Role Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with month-end and year-end financial reporting processes
- Preparing reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies
- Supporting budget monitoring, forecasting and financial planning activities
- Producing accurate financial reports and management information
- Analysing complex financial data and providing meaningful insights
- Supporting audit requirements and ensuring compliance with financial procedures
- Maintaining financial records, controls and reporting schedules
- Liaising with both finance and non-finance stakeholders to resolve queries
- Supporting the development and continuous improvement of financial systems and processes
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members where required
About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- AAT Level 4 qualification, part-qualified accountant status, or equivalent finance experience
- Previous experience working within an accounting or finance environment
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of financial data
- Experience of reconciliations, reporting and financial analysis
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial colleagues
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience would be advantageous but is not essential
