This privately owned organisation has recently secured significant investment from the City and is entering an ambitious new phase of growth, creating an exceptional platform for an accomplished finance leader to make a real impact. Reporting directly to an inspirational and commercially minded CFO, this is a rare opportunity to join a business that seldom recruits and where your contribution will be highly visible. Operating from modern corporate offices, the company offers a collaborative and forward-thinking culture alongside a flexible hybrid working model of three days in the office and two from home.

Your new role. As UK Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role within the finance leadership team, taking ownership of the financial management and reporting of a multi-entity, international business experiencing strong growth. Leading and developing a talented finance team, you will oversee monthly management reporting, statutory accounts, job costing and the annual audit process. Key responsibilities will also include:

  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Cash flow management and forecasting
  • Multi-currency reporting
  • Stock accounting and inventory control
  • Development of insightful financial dashboards and KPI reporting
  • Process improvement and systems enhancement projects
  • Supporting strategic decision-making across the wider business

This is a highly visible role that offers genuine influence, autonomy and the opportunity to shape the future finance function of a growing international organisation.

What you'll need to succeed. You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with proven experience operating as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader within a manufacturing, engineering or project-based environment. The successful candidate will bring:

  • Strong stock accounting and job costing experience
  • Excellent technical accounting and reporting skills
  • Experience of leading and developing finance teams
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • A passion for technology, systems improvement and innovation
  • The ambition and drive to thrive within a high-growth business environment

This role would particularly suit an individual looking to build upon an already successful career and work closely with a high-calibre CFO within an entrepreneurial and expanding business.

What you'll get in return. In return, you will receive a highly competitive package including:

  • Salary of up to £100,000
  • Performance bonus of up to 20%
  • 5% employer pension contribution
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Free on-site parking
  • Hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 from home
  • Standard working hours of 9.00am to 5.30pm

Most importantly, you will gain the opportunity to join a business at a transformational stage of its journey, where your contribution will be recognised and where genuine career progression opportunities exist as the company continues to expand.
