Test Automation Engineer (VoIP) Contract - Paying up to £367 Per Day, Inside IR35, Based in Ipswich, Hybrid Working, Contract until March 2027, To Start ASAP Your new role We're seeking an experienced VoIP Test Automation Engineer to join a team delivering critical voice and communications platforms. You'll be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of VoIP services through automated testing, protocol validation and network analysis. Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain automated test frameworks for VoIP, signalling and media services Develop scripts to simulate call loads, stress conditions and network degradation Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines Create detailed functional, performance, security and regression test cases Analyse SIP and RTP traffic using tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump Monitor voice quality metrics including latency, jitter, packet loss and MOS scores Produce comprehensive test reports and manage defects through Jira Work closely with Development, DevOps and Network Engineering teams to resolve issues What you'll need to succeed VoIP testing experience using SIPp, Spectra, WinSIP or StarTrinity Test automation with Python and Robot Framework API and performance testing using JMeter, k6, Locust, Taurus/BlazeMeter or Newma...
