SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist Resource Base Dudley | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities | Term Time Only Are you a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs?Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established primary school in Dudley that is looking to appoint caring, resilient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils within a specialist resource base attached to the school.
This provision supports children with a range of complex needs and offers a nurturing, structured environment where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally.
The Role You will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to support pupils who may have:
- Hearing impairments
- Speech, language and communication needs
- Autism (ASC)
- Moderate learning difficulties
- Additional sensory or communication needs
Responsibilities will include
- Providing one-to-one and small group support
- Supporting pupils with communication and language development
- Helping to deliver personalised learning activities
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Building positive relationships with pupils, families and staff
- Supporting behaviour through positive reinforcement and consistency
We're Looking For We would love to hear from you if you have
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker, Nursery Practitioner or youth work experience
- A patient, calm and nurturing approach
- Excellent communication skills
- A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential
