Your new company Hays Education is working in partnership with a variety of primary schools, secondary schools, academies and multi-academy trusts across Sheffield. We are currently recruiting reliable and hardworking School Cleaners to support several school sites on both a temporary and ongoing basis. Whether you're looking for a few hours alongside other commitments or seeking full-time work, we have opportunities available to suit you.
Your new role As a School Cleaner, you will play an important part in ensuring pupils and staff have a clean, safe and welcoming environment. Duties may include:
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors and communal areas
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste
- Cleaning toilets and washroom facilities
- Dusting, wiping and sanitising surfaces
- Vacuuming, mopping and sweeping floors
- Following health and safety and hygiene procedures
- Securing areas where required at the end of shifts
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous cleaning experience is essential
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliability and excellent timekeeping
- Good communication skills
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
This job is a temporary position, we will need to be able to obtain references to cover the last 2 years as a minimum, and you will need to be willing to undergo a DBS check if you don't already have a DBS on the update service.
