School Design Technology Technician

Hays Education are currently recruiting for a temporary Design Technology Technician to join a dynamic and creative team at a school based in the Burnley area. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting the delivery of engaging lessons - particularly within textiles resistant materials and product design - by providing timely and effective technical assistance to teaching staff. Your work will help the department and the school achieve their educational goals. This is a temporary, term-time-only role, working Monday to Friday for a period of approximately half a term in the first instance. A DBS on the update service would be an advantage. Your new role Preparing, setting up, and checking equipment for art and design lessons including textiles and product design Supporting teaching staff and students during practical sessions Clearing away equipment and maintaining a safe, organised environment Organising, storing, and managing stock and materials Maintaining and carrying out minor repairs on equipment
