This is an opportunity for an experienced Raw Materials Coordinator or supply chain professional who enjoys taking ownership of material planning, inventory management and supplier relationships within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Your new role

You'll raise and manage purchase orders, monitor outstanding orders, expedite deliveries where required and maintain inventory parameters including safety stock levels and reorder points. You'll also support sourcing activity by obtaining supplier quotations and information when required.
Supplier management will form an important part of your role. You'll act as a key point of contact for orders, deliveries and supply issues, monitoring supplier performance across quality, delivery and service. You'll work collaboratively with suppliers to resolve issues, conduct supplier audits remotely and face to face, and maintain relevant supplier quality and safety documentation.
Internally, you'll work closely with Operations, Planning, Warehouse, Technical, Quality and Finance. You'll prepare reports covering inventory levels, supplier performance and purchasing activity, including month-end reporting. You'll also contribute to cost reduction, inventory optimisation, continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll need experience within a raw materials supply chain role, alongside experience within the manufacturing sector. You'll have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess quantitative and qualitative information and understand the impact of changes across the wider supply chain.
Strong planning and organisational skills are important, particularly your ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy. You'll be confident communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels and able to build effective working relationships.
You'll also need strong numeracy and literacy skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and good general IT capability. A CIPS qualification is preferred, although this is not essential.
What you'll get in return
You'll take ownership of a broad raw materials and supply chain remit within a manufacturing environment, developing further experience across demand forecasting, inventory management, procurement, purchasing, supplier performance and continuous improvement.
