An established and values-led organisation is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their Human Resources / People team. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR Advisor / HR officer to take on a varied generalist HR role where you will support managers and employees across the full employee life cycle while playing a key role in developing people capability across the business.
Your new role
This is an HR generalist position with responsibility for providing proactive HR support, guidance and advice across a range of people matters, including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, onboarding, policy implementation and organisational development initiatives.Alongside the generalist HR responsibilities, the role has a significant Learning & Development focus. You will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging training workshops, facilitating learning sessions, creating training materials and supporting the development of managers and employees. The role will involve both one-to-one coaching and group coaching, helping to build capability, confidence and performance across the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees.
- Supporting employee relations matters, including absence, performance and disciplinary processes.
- Delivering HR projects and organisational development initiatives.
- Designing and delivering training workshops and learning programmes.
- Creating and updating training materials and resources.
- Facilitating both face-to-face and virtual learning sessions.
- Delivering one-to-one and group coaching to managers and employees.
- Supporting talent development, succession planning and career development activities.
- Promoting a positive learning culture and continuous improvement mindset.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience managing a range of employee relations cases.
- A passion for learning, development and people growth.
- Experience delivering workshops, training sessions or facilitated learning programmes.
- Coaching experience, either one-to-one or in group settings.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous.
