We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Administrator to join a welcoming and supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) School based in Purley. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated administrator seeking a long-term role with the potential to become permanent.
The Role
As School Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the school office, ensuring efficient administration and providing excellent support to staff, pupils, parents, and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the school's reception and administrative functions
- Maintaining accurate pupil records and attendance data
- Using Arbor for student information management and reporting
- Supporting admissions, enrolment, and leaver processes
- Handling correspondence, emails, and telephone enquiries
- Managing school documentation and filing systems
- Assisting with safeguarding and compliance administration
- Supporting senior leadership with general administrative tasks
- Liaising with parents, carers, staff, and external professionals
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a school administration role is essential
- Experience working within an SEN school or educational setting is highly desirable
- Strong working knowledge of Arbor is preferred
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a busy school environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Applicants must have previous school-based administrative experience and be able to provide satisfactory references. An Enhanced DBS check will be required prior to commencement.
