An established and growing Suffolk client, my client is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis at their head office located near Bury St Edmunds. This role can be offered on a full-time basis or on a reduced working week (circa 30 hours).
Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Finance and working within a supportive finance team, this role will focus on supporting the purchase ledger function, alongside assisting with general bookkeeping tasks during busy periods.
- Processing and coding purchase invoices
- Statement reconciliations
- Supplier query resolution
- Bank reconciliations
- Supporting with VAT returns
- Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
- Supporting with year-end reporting and audit requirements
What you'll need to succeed
You will have strong purchase ledger experience and confident systems skills. A positive approach and good team work skills will be essential.
What you'll get in return
- Starting salary circa Β£29000 - Β£31000
- Generous benefits package includes 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, pension scheme
- Office based with hybrid working option 1-day a week
- Free on-site parking
- This role can be offered on a reduced working week basis or full-time (circa 28+ hours)
