Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Preston area to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a male pupil in Reception.

The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the pupil engage positively with learning and develop confidence within the classroom environment.
Your new role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide dedicated support to a pupil within a Reception class throughout the school day.
- Help implement strategies to support learning, engagement, and emotional wellbeing.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support.
- Encourage positive behaviour and support social interaction with peers.
- Assist with classroom activities whilst ensuring the pupil remains fully included in learning opportunities.
- Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to teaching staff where required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working with children in an EYFS, primary school, nursery, or similar setting.
- A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience supporting children with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for helping young learners succeed.
