A leading organisation operating within the facilities management, property maintenance and support services sector is seeking an experienced Administrator to join its operations team based in Preston.

Supporting the delivery of maintenance and operational services across multiple sites throughout the North West, this is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual who enjoys working in a varied, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

This position is fully office-based and offers the chance to become an integral part of a collaborative team, providing essential administrative support to ensure operational activities run efficiently and effectively.

  • Your new role
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Operations Team.
  • Act as the first point of contact for telephone, email and general enquiries.
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, events and travel arrangements.
  • Prepare reports, meeting agendas, minutes and action logs.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Support the scheduling and coordination of planned and reactive maintenance works.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Raise and process purchase orders and related documentation.
  • Prepare project documentation and operational packs.
  • Support security clearance and compliance-related administration.
  • Coordinate permit bookings and site access requirements.
  • Update and maintain records within maintenance and asset management systems.
  • Provide additional administrative support to wider business functions as required.
  • What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • Previous experience in an Administration, Operations Administration or Business Support role.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise multiple tasks and manage workloads effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to work.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience using maintenance management, asset management or work order systems would be advantageous.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • The ability to successfully complete pre-employment screening and security clearance requirements.
