Your new role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of construction and refurbishment projects across a portfolio of sites within the Plymouth area.
This is a site-based role covering multiple locations, where you will be responsible for managing projects from inception through to completion. Projects will include a variety of building types, such as office facilities, medical centres, industrial buildings, and specialist operational environments.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the delivery of construction and refurbishment projects from concept through to handover.
  • Coordinating contractors, supply chain partners, site teams, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
  • Managing project budgets, programme schedules, risks, and performance indicators.
  • Reviewing risk assessments, methods of work, and project documentation.
  • Monitoring project delivery to ensure quality, cost, and time objectives are achieved.
  • Supporting sustainability initiatives and carbon reduction objectives.
  • Managing stakeholder expectations and resolving issues effectively.
  • Driving continuous improvement and delivering excellent customer service.

Location: Plymouth (covering 7 sites) - Must Drive
What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience managing construction or hard services facilities management projects from cradle to grave.
  • Experience supervising contractors, operational teams, and key stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and project costs.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe systems of work.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills.
  • HND in Building, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • SMSTS or an equivalent management-level health and safety qualification.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • The ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
