A leading infrastructure and civil engineering contractor is looking to strengthen its engineering team across the Anglian Water framework. With a strong pipeline of secured work and projects being delivered across multiple locations, they are seeking experienced Project Engineers and Section Engineers to support the successful delivery of water and wastewater schemes.Applications are welcomed from engineering professionals based across the region who are looking to work on major infrastructure projects with long-term / ongoing opportunities available.
Your new role
As a Project Engineer or Section Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, coordination and delivery of construction activities on water infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing engineering activities on site to ensure safe and efficient project delivery
- Producing, reviewing and implementing method statements and risk assessments
- Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensuring work is delivered in accordance with design specifications and quality standards
- Supporting programme delivery and progress reporting
- Managing technical queries and liaising with designers and project teams
- Reviewing drawings and ensuring works are constructed to current revisions
- Maintaining quality assurance documentation and site records
- Assisting with cost control, forecasting and project reporting
- Promoting a positive health, safety and environmental culture on site
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience working as a Project Engineer or Section Engineer within the water sector
- Good understanding of construction methods, quality processes and site engineering controls
- CSCS card
- Relevant engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent)
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- Temporary Works knowledge
- Experience working within a regulated utility environment
- NEC contract awareness
